I love fashion. So much so that I recently rearranged my office so that I could spend part of my time at my desk working on this blog and part of my time relaxing in a chaise lounge while researching the fashion trends, designers, and all the things that I try to bring to you through this blog via all the fashion magazines. It’s not an easy task with all the internet research plus getting new magazines every other day. It can all be overwhelming. But here’s the good news. I love it!
In addition to many, if not all, of the fashion magazines, I am also reading three books to become more of a bit of an expert on the top designers, the up and coming designers as well as become proficient in the language of design. Here are the books:
50 Fashion Designers You Should Know
50 Contemporary Fashion Designers You Should Know
The Fashion Encyclopedia: A Visual Resource for Terms, Techniques, and Styles
Although I am new to fashion blogging, I take my job very seriously. I want to bring you the very best, up-to-date information that I can. It is important to me to not only be entertaining, but also accurate and informative. I am constantly studying other blogs and communicating with other fashion bloggers to make me and this blog better.
Now for your input. Is there something that you would like to see on my blog that I have not covered? If so, contact me or make a comment below. If you read my mission statement, you’ll see that I have confined myself to fashion and beauty blogging so I will not go outside those parameters. However, if there is something within fashion and beauty, I will certainly entertain the possibility of blogging about it. Also, keep in mind that I am developing a wedding section to this blog so if you have wedding topics that you would like researched and blogged about, let me know!
I look forward to your input!
These books you’re reading are certainly very interesting! I’m reading a book called “The Fashion Book”, a kind of encyclopaedia which is summarising everything about Fashion (designers…). Have a nice weekend x

Hi Violette,
Thanks so much! “The Fashion Book” sounds like a great read, too! I just checked it out on Amazon.com and ordered it for myself. Thank you so much for the referral.
