My nightly beauty routine is fairly extensive, but it’s worth it if it keeps me looking young and vibrant.  I devised this beauty routine after years of trial and error.  I’ve also done quite a bit of research into the recommendations of dermatologists and aestheticians.  This particular routine that I follow was recommended by an aesthetician from NYC.  When I tried the five step process, my face, neck, and decolletage felt fantastic!  I knew this was the beauty regimen for me.

Step 1: Cleanse

This one is easy and obvious enough.  I use a spin brush for the face (not shown) by Olay that thoroughly cleans my skin
with one of the products shown in the photo below.

Step 2: Toner

Toner is an important step that many people overlook.  My skin is a bit on the dry side so I use Witch Hazel which is soothing to the skin, moisturizing, and shrinks pores.  Other toners, especially the alcohol-based ones, are good for oily or acne-prone skin.

Step 3: Serum

Serums are quite popular these days and for good reason.  Chalked full of vitamins and anti-oxidants, serums are concentrated with nutrients and delivered right to the skin.  Usually, I wait for the toner to dry on my skin before applying the serum just to ensure that the serum isn’t diluted.

Step 4: Moisturize

This is probably the most important step in any skin care regimen.  When I use a moisturizer, I not only use it on my face, but I’m certain to use it on my neck and decolletage area well.  It keeps all areas feeling and looking wonderful!  And yes, you put this on top of the serum that you applied in Step 3.

Step 5: Eye Cream

To avoid under eye circles, crow’s feet, and any other dreadful thing that can happen to your eyes, I use eye cream fastidiously every night.  When I apply it, I’m certain to be gentle and pat it around my eyes so as not to damage the delicate skin.
