On Tuesday, September 13th, at the request of the designer, I was privileged to attend Zang Toi’s runway show at Pier 59 as part of New York Fashion Week in New York City.  It was an extraordinary show!  Titled “Glorious Giverny Garden”, this collection was most stunning.  While I am including numerous photographs with this blog post, they do not show the depth of the incredible beauty of this collection that I experienced seeing in person. Mr. Toi use of lilacs and violets alongside more muted colors brought out the brilliance that is Claude Monet’s wondrous Giverny.  Zang Toi’s inspiration for this collection, Giverny, did not deviate from each piece as each one was connected to his muse in some way.  The beauty of this collection brought me to tears.  Artists like Zang Toi are able to move you with their craft and I felt that I was in the presence of greatness.
