Here in the United States, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 23rd. It’s a time when we gather with friends and family and give thanks for all that we have. I’ve certainly been blessed this year and I’d like to thank you for visiting my blog and making it the best year ever! Below are some inspirational quotes about gratitude to help get you in the gratitude spirit whether or not you celebrate where you are. Keep scrolling and below the quotes you will find all the things that I’m thankful for as well as my thoughts about gratitude.
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” —Oprah Winfrey
“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” —Henri Frederic Amiel
“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” —Robert Brault
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” —William Arthur Ward
“Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.” —Charles Dickens
As I reflect on all the things that I’m grateful for, at the top of my list, I am most thankful for my health and for life and all its abundances. I would be nowhere without them. I love living and I’m grateful to wake up each day and do what I love. I am grateful for the people that I surround myself with whether they be friends or family or friends that have become family. I’m thankful for this blog and the creative outlet that it supplies me. I am also thankful for my professional life outside of blogging. I am grateful for so many other things but these are the biggest ones.
I practice gratitude everyday by writing in a Gratitude Journal by Jack Canfield. It’s only five lines of writing each day, but practicing gratitude has a profound affect on your life. You become aware of your surroundings. You become more present. You want to experience all the things for which you are truly grateful. Your heart becomes full because it’s filled to the brim with joy and excitement.
Happy Thanksgiving
