I’ve discovered five products in 2017 that have become staples in my makeup routine. These are my top five “finds” that I just adore! They have really made my makeup routine so much more enjoyable. And they’ve made the finished product look that much better!

I have several primers and this one is, by far, the best! It provides a shimmering primer coat underneath my foundation that truly makes my face illuminate. It is weightless and its silky textures gilds onto my skin beautifully! It’s the perfect way the start the makeup process and creates a wonderful building block upon which all of the other makeup will be applied.
I decided to try this highlighter on the recommendation of another beauty blogger and I really love it! With this product, a little goes a very long way so be careful not to apply too much if you decide to try it. I use it to highlight just above my cheekbones (above my blush). It is pure liquid so you can mix some in with your foundation for an all-over glow (I’ve haven’t tried this yet, but I may do that trick for NYE).
I have the Cargo Color Stick in the champagne color. The directions state that you can use it on your checks, eyes, or lips. I’ve only used it on my cheeks as a highlighter and I love the effect. I use the Cargo Color Stick when I want a more subtle highlight as opposed to a more intense look as with the Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid which I described above.
Do you have trouble finding a great mascara? I know I’ve found some good ones and plenty of bad ones. This Clinique dual mascara and primer is one of the good ones. The primer puts just enough product on your lashes for the mascara to glide easily through them creating a bold, beautiful look. I can’t say enough great things about this product! If you’re having trouble finding a mascara that you love, try this and see what a primer/mascara duality can do for your lashes.
I don’t usually wear a bold lip, but when I saw these metallic shades debut this year from L’Oreal, I just had to try them! It took a little time getting used to wearing a bolder lipstick, but I really like this line from L’Oreal (of course, I love all of their products!). On days when I wear a metallic lip, I soften the rest of my makeup so as not to look too overdone and to put the emphasis on my lips. I have the metallic lipsticks in the following colors: Galactic Foil, Liquid Venom, and Smoldering Eclipse. I wear the first two most often. Smoldering Eclipse is a bit too dark so I don’t wear it very often, but when I do, I apply it lightly.
