While beauty is a special thing unique to us all, some things are still pretty much universally considered pretty. It’s never about fitting into a certain mold, either. Beauty’s usually in what we already have naturally, and then enhanced to make us feel even better in our own skin. Some products can do that for you – they can not only make your best features stand out, but give you the confidence to feel like a completely fabulous queen on a daily basis.

Have we piqued your interest here? Then let us show you some of our favorite things to pamper with!

Glow like a goddess

Skin looking a little dull? Grab your highlighter, baby. Having a bad day? Put some highlighter on. Can’t pay the rent? Yep, douse yourself in highlighter until you can direct traffic! All jokes aside, this product almost has magical properties not just because it makes our skin glow, but because it brings out this inner diva from us. You’re no longer just a regular gal, you’re a goddamned beauty queen and you get to feel fabulous. You can use a subtle little dab of liquid highlighter on the top of your cheekbones for an entirely natural glow, or you can apply a more eye-catching powder product (Ofra’s highlighters are really intense, for example) for a dose of pure, unadulterated glamour. When you feel your life is a little drab bring some shine in it, you’ll feel a lot better.

Even out your complexion

Concealer is your friend! There’s nothing that can make your face feel refreshed faster than a concealer can, and this is especially useful on those tired mornings when you struggle to even get out of bed, let alone look awake. Dab it underneath your eye over a BB cream or a foundation using a beauty blender, and enjoy the added brightness. You can also use concealer on its own, but do make sure it matches your skin tone as closely as possible.

Plush pout

Full, luscious lips are within your reach even without Botox! You can use the good old lip liner trick where you overline the natural shape of your lips slightly (and we do mean slightly!) using a liner that’s a shade or two darker than your actual lipstick. If you can’t bother with that, however, simply use a clear lip gloss. Find a reflective gloss that’s also a lip plumper for that full effect of a decadently juicy, sexy pout. This way your lips will look wet, velvety, and completely natural and you won’t be able to stop admiring yourself in the mirror.

Big, soulful eyes

What’s a beauty routine without a good, carbon black mascara? However, since most of us already use it to make our eyes stand out, here’s a little trick that works really well when you pair it with mascara: nude eye pencil. Run it along your waterline and it will make your eyes look bigger and more expressive. You can also use a white liner, but it can end up looking a little stark. A nude pencil looks a little more subtle, but completely natural. Bonus tip: if you prefer smokey eyes and want to look sultry, use a brown eye pencil to line your eyes and then smudge it with a Q-tip. This can be a wonderful everyday smokey eye look with no fuss at all.

Bronzed tan

You can totally rock the porcelain princess look, but if you like a little summer on your skin, then we suggest self-tanner. As long as you know all the tricks to apply it you won’t have to worry about orange patches and streaks, and you can easily accomplish that beach goddess look. Make sure to do a full-body scrub and take a shower before you apply the product, and use a glove to spread it all evenly. Also, if you’re fair then use subtle, gradual tanners to make it look natural. To make it really stand out, you can apply some liquid highlighter on your shoulders and down your arms (we did say that highlighter makes everything better, didn’t we?).

Pair the right products with the right attitude. Everything you apply is there to care for and enhance your beauty, to make you stand out the way you want to, to make you feel completely glamorous. Enjoy the whole process, and you’ll truly feel more gorgeous than ever!
