Setting the tone for the patriotic-themed collection, the pre-show musical ensemble consisted of songs such as “This Land is Your Land” and “Take me Home, Country Roads”. The show began with an all-blue selection of stunning pieces with many models donning Converse Chuck Taylor high top tennis shoes in Navy which is quintessential Americana. This portion of the show showcased pieces in blue and blue/white stripes that included shawls, overalls, button-down shirts, faux fur wraps, and some mixed with denim on denim.
The next part of the Zang Toi’s show featured red and white to round out the color palette for his patriotic theme. Red dresses with knee-length and floor-length coats lined with large blue and white stripes made the runway come alive. The white faux fur sleeved top was paired with relaxed silk pants while a red dress with kimono sleeves gave a sophisticated look as well. The jewelry was impeccably designed and well-suited for each piece that it complemented.
For the finale, several models wore ballgowns in red and blue with the showstopper as the American Flag. White stars on a blue background covered the bodice of the dress while a long red and white striped scarf was draped over the model’s shoulder.
