Do you have goals and aspirations about certain aspects of your life? Do you have professional goals that you feel are just out of reach? Is your personal life in a slump? Is dating, making new friends, or exercise not a top priority, but you would like it to be?
All these goals can be specifically defined so that you’ll know where you are and what it takes to get to where you want to be. Vision Boards are key to this process and here’s why!
What Are Vision Boards?
Vision boards are exactly that, boards that show your hopes, dreams, and visions for your life. They are a visually representation of what you seek to become. Simply put, vision boards have pictures showing what your ideal life looks like.
For example, if you want to be wealthy, then, perhaps, your vision board contains images of a large house, money, an exotic car, or a large corner office.
Have visions of getting into shape? Collect photos of people working out and eating healthy for inspiration.
Vision boards contain images of our most desired dreams and visions. By seeing your goals in front of you, day after day, you are more likely to be motivated to achieve those goals.
Call it manifestation or motivation, vision boards can truly inspire you to reach for your dream life by constantly having those images in front of you to override those negative thoughts your brain creates.
How to Use Your Vision Board Daily
After your vision board is complete and you’ve assembled 10-30 relevant images on a cork board or whiteboard, place it somewhere where you will see it every single day.
When you see your vision board each day, remind yourself about the hopes and dreams that you have. Meditate on each image. Tell yourself that these goals will be done by whatever date you have set.
But don’t just look and meditate on the images, act upon them!
Make a list of things you need to do to achieve a particular vision of your life. What tasks do you need to accomplish? What habits do you need to start? Write them down on the board, next to the board, or even in a daily scheduler or your phone so you can be reminded of how you’ll get to that dream life on the board.
Your dreams are not just dreams, they can be your reality!
