As we step into 2022, I wanted to share the top three best-selling wedding gowns by Katherine Tash that provide freedom of movement as well as structure.

Jane

Jane is the perfect slip dress made with satin face silk crepe lined with silk charmeuse. The Jane combines the effortless look of a slip dress with the support of a hidden interior corset.

Katherine Tash - Jane

Q:  Your slip wedding gowns look so effortlessly chic as they drape the body; however, the Jane and Tate designs have inner corsets in the design for support. How does the inner corset provide enough support for a bride to confidently wear the slip wedding gown on her wedding day?

KT:  The inner corset is exactly as you said – supportive! It’s a structure we’ve worked on over the years, adjusting and tweaking based on client feedback, until we had the recipe just right. It’s one of our signature construction elements. I want my brides to look effortless while feeling entirely held in by their gown. So many gowns on the market in bridal and ready to wear are gorgeous but difficult to wear if you don’t have the right undergarments. We wanted to take the guess work out of that, so that our brides can zip this dress up and walk out the door.

Tate

Tate offers an effortless looking draped goddess gown, complete with interior corset structure in the bodice and a floating wrap in the back. Satin face silk crepe lined with silk charmeuse.

Q:  What are the advantages to your clients by having all your wedding gowns created by artisans located in Los Angeles?

KT:  Your gown is being created by the same hands that created the original, instead of being shipped off as a digital pattern to a factory overseas, that manufactures hundreds of brands. Local production ensures that the gowns have a dedicated team looking after your order and making sure that it comes out exactly as intended, with care and precision. It also prevents shipping delays, which is a huge problem currently.

Mini Ilaria

Based on her bestselling Ilaria gown, the Mini Ilaria was a highly requested piece from Los Angeles brides. This after party or elopement look features satin face silk crepe lined with silk charmeuse.

Q:  Especially among Los Angeles brides, the Mini Ilaria is a best seller.  It was designed and inspired by the Ilaria gown, which is a stunning, free flowing gown from your previous collection.  What inspired you to create a mini version of the Ilaria wedding gown?

KT:  The many, many bride requests we had for it! So many brides wanted a second look and were drawn to Ilaria but asking for her as a mini so they could dance easily, so it was a no brainer. I worked closely with our Los Angeles retailer LOHO Bride, looking at orders and feedback for our beaded mini dress “Mia” which is another great second look, and we decided to make the Mini Ilaria slightly shorter, more flouncy in the skirt, and the rest is history. It turned out so chic, but still fun!
