With the coronation of the King Charles III set for Saturday, May 6th, 2023 in which he is formally invested with regalia and crowned at Westminster Abbey, I thought that it would be interesting to explore King Charles’ favorite tea just for fun. After all, I have written an article about the more formal afternoon tea as well as compared afternoon tea to high tea.
However, King Charles sips tea throughout the day. Specifically, His Majesty sips Darjeeling Tea with milk and a dash of honey.
Reportedly, the late Queen Elizabeth II was very fond of Darjeeling tea. In fact, it’s served in Buckingham Palace as a tradition.
