I sat down with Bold’s partner, Suzanne Reinhard, to discuss the current trends in the wedding industy.

What are some tips for an elegant and current wedding?
An elegant and current wedding is all about achieving a balance between sophistication and intimacy. Start by focusing on the finer details that create a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every choice reflects the couple’s unique personality. Instead of opting for an extravagant, over-the-top event, concentrate on creating a timeless ambiance with refined design elements. Think custom invitations, engraved to add a personal touch, and seating arrangements that prioritize comfort while still looking stylish. The aim is to create a relaxed yet elevated setting where guests feel at ease, allowing the couple to truly enjoy the day. The wedding should feel like a crafted experience—beautiful, meaningful, and memorable—without overshadowing the couple’s connection with their loved ones.
What are the latest floral and design trends for weddings?
The latest floral and design trends for weddings draw inspiration from 60s American classic style, bringing a nostalgic, yet modern feel to contemporary celebrations. Floral trends emphasize low arrangements that flow naturally, avoiding rigid, tall displays. The colors are soft and airy, with greens, blues, pinks, and yellows making an appearance in various florals, creating a fresh, vibrant atmosphere. A notable design feature is the use of floral prints throughout the décor, which adds an extra layer of interest to everything from table settings to fabric choices. Custom China and silverware with intricate patterns have also gained popularity, enhancing the overall luxury feel. Dining chairs have evolved to include traditional, comfort-focused styles like rattan and café chairs. This trend emphasizes a return to simplicity and grace, where the floral and design elements serve to elevate the experience without overwhelming it.
Additionally, I interviewed recent leadership hires Borja Rosales, General Manager, and Frank Carlisi, Director of Design, at Bold about its future as well as wedding trends.
Regarding Atlanta’s hosting of the 2026 World Cup, what are some event trends and predictions for the social aspect of the surrounding events?
Frank: Borja, you and I have worked in some incredible markets—New York, Colorado, and abroad—but there’s no place quite like Atlanta when it comes to energy and hospitality. The 2026 World Cup landing here? It’s a game-changer. This city thrives on global influence, and now the world is coming to us.
Borja: Absolutely. Atlanta knows how to throw a party, and with the entire world watching, we’re about to level up. From curated international menus to stadium-inspired street food, you’re going to see flavors from every competing nation pop up across the city. Picture a Brazilian-Japanese fusion bar, a German-Argentinian barbecue station, or craft cocktails inspired by the host countries.
Frank: And let’s not forget the design. Atlanta’s always been bold—no pun intended! Expect high-energy graphics, immersive digital experiences, and venues decked out in national colors. The whole city will feel like one big festival, and at Bold, we’re already crafting experiences that will make Atlanta shine on the global stage.
Can you expand on the premise that “Atlanta Influences Everything” which is a phrase that has been coined and is now somewhat of an Atlanta slogan?
Frank: This phrase resonates with me so deeply. When I was living in New York, I found myself constantly looking to Atlanta—not just for what was new or on-trend, but for that undeniable energy and spirit that so few cities can claim. Atlanta has this rhythm, this pulse that feels global and homegrown all at once. Whether it was in music, design, or hospitality, the city was always a few steps ahead. I didn’t just admire it—I wanted to be part of it.
Borja: Same here. I came from the exclusive Colorado market, where high-end events were all about precision and luxury. But Atlanta? It’s different. There’s a raw, electric energy here that makes everything feel fresh and alive. The way this city blends global influences with a deep sense of community—it’s unlike anywhere else.
Frank: And that’s why “Atlanta Influences Everything” is more than just a phrase. Look at music—Atlanta didn’t just shape hip-hop; it changed the entire music industry. Look at fashion—streetwear and luxury collide here in a way that’s now global. In the event world, we see that same fearlessness. Bright colors, over-the-top installations, flavors that hit every corner of the world. Atlanta doesn’t just follow trends—it sets them.
What are some tips for an elegant and current spring or summer wedding?
Borja: Atlanta weddings are special because they embrace the seasons so beautifully. Spring and summer here mean lush, abundant florals, outdoor ceremonies under century-old oak trees, and menus that highlight the best of Southern and global flavors.
Frank: And it’s all about making things personal. We’re seeing couples lean into vibrant color palettes—think rich corals, sunset oranges, deep emerald greens. They want florals that feel wild and organic, almost like they were just gathered from a European countryside.
Borja: Food-wise, seasonal, light, and fresh is the way to go—think citrus-infused seafood, heirloom tomato and burrata salads, and curated grazing tables. And for cocktails, a summer wedding isn’t complete without a signature spritz or a fresh herb-infused gin cocktail.
What are the latest floral, design, and catering trends for weddings & social events such as galas and cocktail parties?
Frank: Right now, the biggest trend is immersive storytelling. It’s not just about a beautifully designed event—it’s about creating an entire world for guests to step into. We’re layering textures, incorporating unexpected materials, and making floral installations that defy gravity.
Borja: And the food follows that same approach. Guests want an experience—interactive stations, chef-driven presentations, unexpected flavor pairings. You’ll see things like curated oyster bars with champagne pairings, tableside cocktail infusions, and even dishes inspired by the couple’s travels.
Frank: It’s all about making events feel one-of-a-kind. People don’t want just another wedding or another gala—they want something that tells their story.
Anything else that either of you would like to add about Atlanta’s social scene trends?
Borja: Atlanta’s social scene is evolving fast. There’s a shift toward more curated, intimate, and experience-driven events. People don’t just want to show up—they want to be immersed.
Frank: Right! And the beauty of Atlanta is that it’s a city where innovation meets Southern hospitality. We’re seeing events that feel high-end but completely personal. Whether it’s a rooftop party with live art installations, a wedding that feels like stepping into a different country, or a gala that doubles as an interactive performance, Atlanta is setting the tone for what’s next.
Borja: And we’re just getting started.
